The Independent Living Service (formerly managed by the Anchor Trust) seem to provide all sorts of free useful help to people who might need some assistance living independently in East Sussex, including advice on benefits, handymen, aids for daily living, community activities etc. I haven't spotted a website? but you can read a bit more blurb here.
