Dragons

I’m proud of being Welsh, but aren’t dragons a bad thing? Shouldn’t that ancient serpent be crushed beneath our feet and defeated by our saints, not put on our flags?

This is what I have always said to my Welsh friends. They don't seem to be terribly impressed, however, by my comparison of their national symbol with Satan.

Quite so. Why do you think England has St George as patron saint?

Well, Daniel, I think there's something in what you say.

Matthew, I dont know. Certainly not cos he was English.

As a complete aside, always important to remember that Pelagius was not Welsh.

Really? I'm sure Mike 'Principal of Oak Hill (elect?)' told us he was called Jones and spoke like he was from the valleys.

Ros, I think it is disputed and unkown in fact. He seems to have been Celtic in some way, probably Irish. The terms were a bit different then anyway.
