The Holy Spirit can even work if the preacher uses a handout!
It is good to see that Ralph Cunnington (Preaching with Spiritual Power: Calvin's Understanding of Word and Spirit in Preaching, p124) insists on this against Hywel-Jones ('Preaching the Word in the Power of the Holy Spirit' Foundations 60 (2011), p85)!
