Scripture and Incarnation

It is relatively common to think of the incarnation as providing an analogy for the doctrine of Scripture. Jesus was fully human and fully divine and the Bible is made up of genuinely human words that are also God's words.

In the incarnation, the Son became subject to human weaknesses and limitations (in his human nature), but without sin. Similarly, we might say that the human language of Scripture is subject to weakness and limitation but it is “sinless” human language, that is, that inscripturation need not involve error any more than incarnation involves sin.
