from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

This is the day that the
Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be
glad in it.
The Confession
|
Christ died to sin once for all, and now he lives
to God.
Let us renew our resolve to have done with all
that is evil and confess our sins in penitence and faith.
Lord God,
|
|
we have sinned against you;
|
|
we have done evil in your sight.
|
|
We are sorry and repent.
|
|
Have mercy on us according to your love.
|
|
Wash away our wrongdoing and cleanse us from our
sin.
|
|
Renew a right spirit within us

Sermon
The Apostles’ Creed
|
I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.
|
|
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our
Lord,
|
|
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
|
|
born of the Virgin Mary,
|
|
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
|
|
was crucified, died, and was buried;
|
|
he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again;
|

he ascended into heaven,

he is seated at the right hand of the Father,

and he will come to judge the living and the

Almighty God,

You may wish to supplement
the service with other hymns of your choice.
You might choose something
appropriate to Remembrance and thanksgiving e.g. Now Thank We All Our God. Or
perhaps to the theme of peace: e.g. Peace Perfect Peace, is the Gift of Christ
Our Lord. Something linked to our readings (a version of the Psalm, perhaps) or
anything appropriate to the Easter Season.
