Prayer of thanksgiving and re-dedication of the church bells

Almighty God, we give you thanks for those who have crafted and raised these bells with such skill and for all who have rung them down the years.
We thank you for the restoration and repair of the bells, for their maintenance and the improvements that have been made to them.
We thank you for the provision of funds and for the many hours of hard work which have been involved.
We dedicate these bells afresh to your glory in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
We pray for the safety and enjoyment of all who ring them.
We ask that all who hear these bells might speedily respond to their call to worship.
May the joyful ringing of these bells resound in our hearts with praise to you.
And may the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ ring out from our church to the glory of his great name.
Indeed, we pray that the praises of Jesus Christ might echo around the world and throughout the whole creation so that everything that has breath might magnify you.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
