If all is foggy vapour, wisdom or escapism?
I. Four ways to be wise:
(1)
Embrace suffering (vv1-6)
(2)
Resist temptation (vv7-10)
4 particular temptations we’re to watch out for:
(a)
Extortion / bribery (v7)
(b)
Impatience / pride (v8)
(c)
Anger / hastiness (v9)
(d)
Nostalgia (v10)
(3)
Fear God (vv11-18)
(4)
Acknowledge limitations (v19-end)
II. But you can’t be perfectly Wise (vv23-25)
III. So look to God’s Wise Man (v28)
