to the Romans:
Now is the time to wake out
of sleep, for our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
The night is far spent,

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,

The Collect for the First

Almighty God,
give us grace to cast away the works of darkness
