Whom Isaiah saw

In Isaiah chapter 6 the prophet has his great vision of the glory of Yahweh, the LORD, the thrice holy king.

Listening to a brother preach at a great little Proclamation Trust conference this week I realised what I surely ought to have seen before that John 12:39-41 which cites Isaiah 6 tells us that the prophet said these words because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about him. Surely it s therefore reasonable to think that John takes Isaiah 6 as a vision of the glory of the pre-incarnate Christ.
